Sabri al-Asali (1903-1976) the Prime Minister in 1956-1958

Prime Minister Asali became one of the architects of the Syrian-Egyptian union in 1958, then worked against it in 1961-1963. He was arrested and retired from political life when the Baath Party came to power in 1963.
